Despite federal crackdown, some states are fighting to keep their wood fires burning. The Environmental Protection Agency is pressing ahead with new rules to significantly limit the pollution from residential wood stoves and heaters, but some of the states with the most wood smoke are heated about the measure and refusing to go along.
