Spring is here and health officials in Unicoi County want you to be prepared for the climate change.
Girl Scout Troop 43 learned C.P.R Monday afternoon at the Unicoi County Health Department. It’s part of a National Public Health Week.
Unicoi’s theme “Climate Change: our health is in the balance,” focuses on safety during spring and summer months.
Medical officials say warmer weather means more people heading outdoors. This increases chances for stroke, heart attacks and heat related injuries.
Free C-P-R, blood pressure, and emergency disaster preparedness workshops are scheduled throughout the week.
