06/10/08: Wild Weather Temporarily Wipes Out Tri-Cities Power

Heavy rain, wind and hail swept through the area Monday night, leaving many in the dark Tuesday morning.
Charter Communications tell Your Tri-Cities News Source, 55,000 customers lost service in the Kingsport region. All service has been restored.
Appalachian Power has been working around the clock to restore power to southwest Virginia customers. More than 840 residents were still in the dark at 5a.m.
