More than 200 travelers joined the NAACP’s pilgrimage to Ghana to commemorate the “Year of Return.” The “Jamestown to Jamestown” journey pays homage to the strength, power and resilience of African-Americans. The Crisis Magazine’s Nicki Mayo talked with travelers to find out what inspired them to make the voyage to Ghana to commemorate the 400-year anniversary of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.
