The Lincoln University football team is doing their part to help those weathering the aftermath left behind by Hurricane Harvey. The storm has since been downgraded, but the impact is being felt days after the deadly natural disaster made landfall and left heavy flooding in the Houston region.
Defensive tackle Solomon Bassett hails from Ft. Worth, Texas. The second generation Lincoln University student is proud to play for his mother’s alma mater. He says Harvey impacted his family and friends back home in Texas and wanted to do something to help out.
Bassett is joining his team in calling for the Lincoln University community, alumni and supporters to donate toiletries and clothing to help flood victims in Texas.
