The NAACP Economic Department’s “HER Idea the Podcast” officially launched with a listening party October 10 in Washington D.C. HER Idea is a national entrepreneurship initiative for Black women. It seeks to increase awareness of the barriers Black women face in their entrepreneurship journey. The goal of HER Idea is to bridge the resource gap for Black women through community building. “HER Idea the Podcast” highlights conversations with startup founders, influencers, venture capitalists and budding #SheBosses.

HER Idea The Podcast host Krystal Garner is also the winner of BET’s The Grand Hustle and general manager of the Trap Music Museum. Garner was joined onstage by panelist Ernestine Johnson Morrison, an actress and poet that recently appeared in BET’s Angrily Ever After. She is also the founder of Green Lit ATL and co-owner of the Tulsa Real Estate Fund.
