An Allentown pub is raising money to help a Kenmore man critically injured in a Rochester car crash. Volunteers at Frizzy’s Bar are rolling up their sleeves for a basket raffle and benefit to help out Shane Full. The Kenmore husband and father was taking his two year old son Ethan to a Rochester air show when he struck and critically injured on the side of the road May 31st.
“Before the accident he was a great father a great provider. A real fun loving guy. Got along with everybody,” said Shane’s friend Jason Garrison.
“I just want to help out and hope that we can raise some money for Keri and Shane and hopefully get him home soon so that they can have their family,” said Melissa Diagostino a close friend of Shane’s wife, Keri Full.
Shane has been in and out of the trauma unit at Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital. He’s undergoing treatments at Buffalo’s ECMC’s intensive care unit. Fundraisers say Shane’s medical bills have soared past the $100,000 mark. Friends and family of Shane Full say he has a “full house” on the way. Shane and his wife Keri already have a son, and couple is expecting. They are pregnant with twins who are due on Christmas Day. Fundraisers say every cent counts, now more than ever.
“What we’re hoping for is to make a lot of money obviously. To help them with medical bills and just day to day bills. Keri’s obviously not working because of being pregnant with the twins. And he obviously is not working and doesn’t have any benefits right now because he’s self employed,” said Garrison.
Shane ran his own landscaping company before the May accident. Supporters hope the fundraiser will help the family’s future.
“We all have our own problems. But when you see people going through that. It’s nice to see people coming together,” added Diagostino.
Fundraisers set up and account for donations at First Niagara Bank. Anyone wishing to help the cause can send monetary donations to the “Shane Full Benefit Fund.”
