Mississippi NAACP officials want further investigation of a small-town police force and one of its officers following the death of a black man after an encounter with the officer. The civil rights group wants a background check, mental health evaluation and drug test of 25-year-old Officer Kevin Herrington, the part-time officer involved in the July 8 physical encounter that left Jonathan Sanders dead.
