08/15/08: Kingsport Double Murder Suspect Back in Court

A woman charged in a 2005 double-murder in Kingsport heads back to court Friday morning.
Twenty-four year old Octavia Brooks was arrested in New York City nearly one year following the fatal double-shooting in Kingsport.
Brooks’ case was continued back in July. The former Piney Flatts woman will face a judge in a Sullivan County courtroom at 10 a.m. She’s charged with four counts of first degree murder, robbery and conspiracy.
Police sat shots rang out at the Sole Body Essentials Shop back in 2005.
Authorities say the victims 27-year old Jeffrin Nolan and 21-year-old Terrence Alexander were shot execution style in the back of the head. Nolan died at the scene. Alexander passed away days later at an area hospital.
Brooks was among several suspects who made off with drugs and money. She is scheduled for a court announcement Friday at 10 o’clock.
Fellow suspect Leslie Ware was also caught in New York City. A nationwide search continues for Jawuane Massey. He’s listed among Tennessee’s most wanted.
