Jonesborough Group Supplies Wheelchairs To Disabled Residents

A civic group is helping the disabled move around the Tri-Cities.
The Jonesborough Civitan Club loans wheelchairs to people who can’t afford them.
Organizers teamed up with Mac’s Medicine Mart to refurbish wheelchairs for those in need.
Most medical insurance companies cover manual wheelchair rentals. These same chairs can run $300 to 450 dollars. This year Wal-Mart donated $500 for the wheelchair project.
Saturday the Civitian Club hopes to raise more funds for chairs with a Chilli Supper.
