Mid-January the Johnson City-Jonesborough-Washington County Chamber of Commerce appointed Robert L. White as secretary treasurer. The Johnson City native is now the first African-American to hold an officer position in the chamber. White’s post is the first of four in a succession to the chamber chair position.
