Twas the day after Halloween = hey class, wanna he

Twas the day after Halloween = hey class, wanna hear a scary story? So I told my @smpagwu #JournoLife students about that time I ran for my life because some guy rammed a truck into our station and then barricaded himself in an edit suite with a backpack and possibly a machete, talking about he's God and here to "purify the multiverse." Coincidentally one of my stories that night was how to escape a burning building. I use this for a breaking news exercise to stress the importance of empathy when interviewing people in traumatic situations. The shock 😲 on their faces when I revealed I was in this hot mess situation was worth the lesson planning hours.

🎃🎃Year #2 Halloween in my new house 🏠. I was so excited to hand out candy to trick or treaters again. This year I got 12 costume wearing visitors. That's up from 10 last year 😆. The Addams Family was the most popular. I pretty much worked on my lesson plans and got in some grading while I waited for the trick or treaters.

I stand my criticism of these reality dating shows and how dark skin Black women seem to have horrible treatment or scenarios surrounding their storylines. Sadly I feel this season was just as bad. 😔😡

🎭 "The Other Americans" is an emotional rollercoaster filled with family drama, mental health themes and discussions on the meaning of the American Dream. I rolled solo to I check out the world-premiere of the drama written and starring @johnleguizamo and directed by @rubensantiagohudson at Arena Stage @arenastage.

This play will compel you to want to discuss the themes afterwards. The production is packed with relatable content and tough topics. I'd avoid taking children or teens to this one. It tackles the topics of depression and suicide.

🥳Peter Pan and Tinkerbell throw one heck of party🥳. Last night was so much fun!🎉. Brandon and I hosted another fun-tastic Halloween and Día de los Muertos party. We did a little bit more for 2024. The costumes were creative and the karaoke was rockin’. We had fun food, games, a costume contest, karaoke and so many laughs and smiles. The ancestors probably had a blast too.
